Samana Whale Watching

DESCRIPTION

Samaria continues to attract visitors for the joy of one of the world’s best sites for watching the enormous humpback whales as they frolic offshore.
The whale-watching season runs from 15 January to 30 March.
Punta Balandra, on the road from Samana City to Las Galeras, is a vantage point for watching the whales without having to get on a boat.
If you don’t get the chance to go whale watching, the small Museo de las Ballenas has interesting information on the whales that pass close to Samana.
